Job Summary: We are seeking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead our quantity surveying team in delivering high-value construction projects in the FMCG and Steel Construction sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, ensuring accurate quantity take-offs, and providing expert advice on contractual and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Quantity Take-Offs: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract documentation, including contract agreements, variations, and claims.
- Commercial Management: Provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters, including tendering, procurement, and contract negotiations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities related to project costs and contracts.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or its equivalent In Quantity Surveying
- Professional qualification in RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent professional qualification is desirable
- A Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on FMCG and Steel Construction sectors.
- Experience within mechanical engineering sector
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software, such as CostX, PlanSwift, or similar.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide expert advice.
